Vacation Ideas?

A plea for help here.

I’m thinking I want to run away with Finn for a week for his vacation at the end of the month. I need a little break. I’ve never done the “Vacation Package” thing before, but I want to go somewhere warm and fun …and relatively on the cheap. Seems like the way to go.

One of my biggest fears about going to a resort or on a cruise is that I won’t be able to stand the people (and/or their kids). I want to be somewhere quiet and with good people, but with enough cool and non-contrived stuff going on that we can have adventures as well.

Since so many of you are peeps I would love to hang with, anyone out there in the Tumblr-verse have any suggestions?

slokenny answered: Key West. Be a bum for a week. Get a bed-n-breakfast in the old district. Went there for years on the cheap.
electradaddy said: Destin, FL & the surrounding resorts (Sandestin, etc.) It’s a beach resort area. A rather conservative area but a great place to visit. Geared towards families, not college spring breakers. Lots to do. Not too expensive.

Something that seems obvious, but should be stated...don't reblog pics of my kids,...that's creepy.

Oh and occasionally I post about off topic/non-parenting/non-kids things, mostly around food, crossfit and roller derby.

Editor's Note: I can be grammatically challenged at times. I usually re-read my stuff and make the necessary edits. I also admittedly overuse parenthetical phrases. If crap like that bugs you, my stuff may not be for you.
