Day 14: Heart(s)

Part I - The not required - yet obligatory - school cards

Trying to get Finn to take ownership of doing (rather than just buying) something for kids at school was not without its challenges. Trying to not be the parent that prescribes an idea or does it all for him because it would look better proved to be the most challenging. After I backed the fuck off of suggesting ideas and said to him he could do whatever he wanted…he just needed to do something (we had a heart to heart talk so to speak), he embraced it and had a great time putting together notes and SweetTart Hearts for his classmates.

Part II - The Valentine Phantom

My perfect little town has become notorious for the Valentine Phantom. I love waking up every Feb 14 to have our entire town blanketed by offset/imperfect red hearts on letter sized paper.
